Consistently good tea

I've ordered from Sub Rosa Tea a few times now, and they're always reliable. This last order, I got some more Elderberry Tea, and it was just as fresh and flavorful as my previous purchases. Shipping was also quick, reached me in about 4 days.

Good value on sampler

I was looking for some new teas to try without spending too much. The tea sampler felt like a decent deal. I also signed up for their newsletter, which gave me a discount on my first order. The amount of tea in the sampler was good for the price I paid, definitely worth trying them out.

Overall positive experience

My recent purchase from Sub Rosa Tea included some Peppermint Tea and a glass teapot. The ordering process on their website was straightforward and I received an email confirmation right away. Shipping took about a week to get to me in California, which was within their estimated timeframe. The peppermint tea itself was fresh and had a strong, clean flavor. The glass teapot arrived well-packaged and undamaged, and it's been working nicely for my daily brews. I did have a question about brewing instructions for a different tea I considered, and their customer support responded to my email within a day, which was helpful. Quality seems good for the price points.

Looking for a unique black tea. Any recommendations besides Earl Grey?

E EarthBoundTea 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Try their Pu-erh tea if you're feeling adventurous. It's earthy and complex, totally different from typical black teas.

Is it good for everyday?

Maybe a flavored black tea? Some of their fruit tea blends have a black tea base and are pretty interesting.

Do I need a special infuser for loose leaf tea?

I InfuserPro 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Not necessarily 'special', but a good quality one that lets the leaves expand is key. The ones they sell on Sub Rosa are decent.

Filters work too if you're lazy.

Avoid the tiny ball ones, leaves can't move.

R RoomyInfuser 1 month ago
Just don't use a tiny mesh ball. Get something with enough room.

What about a glass teapot with an infuser?

Is the matcha powder worth it compared to other brands?

W WhiskedAway 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
I've tried a few, and Sub Rosa's matcha is pretty good for the price. Not ceremony grade, but definitely better than grocery store stuff.

G GreenTeaGuru 1 month ago
Agreed. Good everyday matcha.

Does it mix well?

If you're serious about matcha, I'd maybe look elsewhere. But for casual lattes, it's fine.

Thinking of trying blooming tea. Are they actually good or just for show?

V VisualTea 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
They're mostly for show, honestly. The taste is usually mild, but they look super cool in a glass teapot.

Depends on your expectations. Don't expect a super strong flavor. It's an experience.

Looking for a nice gift for my mom who loves herbal tea. Any ideas?

Z ZenDrinker 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
The wellness tea blends are usually a hit. Maybe something with elderberry or chamomile?

A tea gift set could be cool, especially if it comes with a mug or infuser.
